The God Who Atones

Feb 15, 2015 • Mike Hubbard • Series: I Am

The event happened 3,500 years ago, but it is still the single point in history that defines the story of Jewish people. To this day religious Jews will identify themselves as the people whom God rescued from the Egyptians with His mighty Right Arm. And, to this day Jewish people will set aside time to celebrate the most important of remembrances and participate in a Passover Seder. The entire event retells this story so that they remember what God has done and pass it on to their children. Followers of Jesus need to remember that this day is important to us as well, as God is telling His story. The entire story paints a picture, with each detail a brushstroke pointing to a future reality that will be fulfilled in Jesus.
