The God Who Makes Covenant

Covenant is one of the most important words in the Bible, yet, most people have never really studies the idea or even heard the word. As the True King, God has chosen to bring Himself near and make Himself known. God's love language is the language of covenant, which is a divinely initiated agreement between God and people stipulating the conditions of their relationship. God expresses His love to His people by inviting them into a covenant. The key idea in all of the covenants is wrapped up in the phrase, "I will be your God, and you will be my people." In Exodus God forms one of these amazing agreements, as He invites the Hebrews into a covenant. And the rhythm of this covenant relationship teaches how God will always engage His people in a love relationship.
