The God Who Makes Promises

Feb 1, 2015 • Mike Hubbard • Series: I Am

One of the most difficult realities in our existence is the great difference between the way things ought to be and the way things are. Sometimes life is almost unbearable, and this is mixed with an expectation of a better reality. This can be even more true when we look at what seems to be promised by God standing opposite of the reality we have. So what do we do? As a redemption story, Exodus is a reminder that God is going to be faithful, and He will keep the promises He has made. And we are reminded that it is not the strength of our faith in tough times that carries us through, but the object of our faith. Exodus reminds us to keep believing.
