The Gospel and Personal Autonomy

In our culture the water we swim in is the idea of the autonomy of the self. This is the core philosophy of our culture and the gospel of self-autonomy is deeply embedded into every fiber of our culture. It is the basis for how our culture makes decisions and views sin. The philosophy of self-autonomy is also deeply embedded in most our belief systems and often found in the church as well. But, it is also rooted in the basic lie told by the serpent to Eve in Genesis 3. Today we will look at what may be the most significant challenge to the Gospel that you have never heard about.
