The Parable of the Good Samaritan

It was a very good and important question. "What must I do to inherit eternal life," asked the teacher of the law. Jesus asked him what the Law said, and without a blink the lawyer answered that we are to love God with everything and love our neighbors as we love ourselves. But, who is my neighbor? The person down the street, or living in my neighborhood? Jesus uses this question to tell one of the most well-known and beloved stories, but in that culture the story was scandalous. We will conclude our series Once on the parables of Jesus with the Parable of the Good Samaritan.
