Perhaps you have seen home movies or videos of children opening their gifts on Christmas morning when they open that one perfect gift. The one they have been pestering their parents about for months! The one they have begged Santa to bring! They are overcome with joy, running about the room jumping and screaming. This is the reaction that brings joy to the giver, the parents, for it makes them feel like they have given the perfect gift. Today we will look to the example of the Perfect Giver and let His example shape our hearts and minds about giving. James 1:17 tells us that EVERY perfect gift comes from God. How do we respond when we "unwrap" God's gifts? Maybe we are missing out by not making every morning like a child's Christmas morning.
