The Shepherd’s Psalm

Aug 8, 2021 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Our Favorite Things

We hope you have enjoyed our Summer journey through the favorite passages of some of our leaders. Today is the last message in the series Our Favorite Things. Today we are looking at Psalm 23, the favorite passage of one of our Elders, Bob Lancaster. But, he is not alone---this is one of the most recognizable and beloved passages of Scripture in the Bible. The Shepherd's Psalm reveals to us the love, care, and guidance God gives His people. We are reminded that, even in the shadow of the valley of death, we are not alone, and for those who know this God, we have His presence and the resources to make it through the darkest times. And yes, this Psalm points us to Jesus who is the Good Shepherd who leads, feeds, guides, and protects His sheep, securing their journey to His eternal pasture.
