The Tendency to Drift

We had a great week in Charleston, and for those who attended this week’s Genesis Family Mission Trip, we come back on a mountaintop having experienced God’s work in and through us. Likewise, the people in the story of Nehemiah had been used by God to rebuild the city of Jerusalem and experienced an incredible revival. Happily ever after, right? Not so fast. Since the Bible is true, it gives us the whole truth. Rather than ending at the high point, the story in Nehemiah takes us about thirteen years down the road where we will discover that they, like us, have a tendency to drift and experience spiritual entropy.
