The Waiting Game

We come to the end of our journey looking at the big story of the Old Testament this week. The story is about God's great mission to rescue His people and His acts in the lives of the Hebrew people. He is a holy God who is loving and patient with the nation that He saved, even though they have not walked closely with Him. At the end of the Old Testament, God restores His people, but they are left waiting for the day when their ultimate rescuer, the promised Messiah would come. And they will wait 400 years. We too are in a time of waiting for the final restoration, but our hope is secure and God will make all things new.
