Tragedy

Jul 14, 2013 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Top Ten 2013

C. S. Lewis wrote, "We can ignore even pleasure. But pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world." Tragedy, suffering and pain are a universal reality in a fallen world, but this does not mean that God is uncaring or distant. Our Top 10 List question for today is, "What is the proper response to tragedy in this earth such as miscarriages, terrorism attacks, abuse, etc.?" Our goal today is to give some theology on the topic, but also talk about how Gospel people will live incarnationally in the lives of those who are hurting.
