What Type of Messiah?

It had to be on amazing event, something that left Peter, James, and John completely astonished. Jesus takes his three closest followers up on a mountain, and right before their eyes his appearance is totally transformed, as he appears in a glorified state. To us, this event is odd, but those who were there saw something no one else has seen. The veil between heaven and earth was lifted for a few minutes, and the glory of Jesus was on display. At that time, these three men were astounded, but did not really understand what was happening. But they are the ones who passed on the amazing story of the Transfiguration, and for us, it teaches some important things about the true identity of Jesus.
