Worship & Generosity

"The almighty dollar." Way too often we believe that our lives would be better and our problems solved if we just made a bit more money. Truth is that our giving and spending habits are indicators of the objects of our worship and the values we hold. Followers of Jesus are continually challenged to live with two values when it comes to our bank accounts and the stuff we own. First, we should realize that God is the true owner, and we are stewards of His stuff. Second, we serve a generous God, and therefore we should be the most generous of people. Today we will take a look at a passage in Malachi addressing the way we give and spend our resources. The goal is to make sure we are not robbing God.
