Worship & Jesus

Nov 11, 2012 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Above All

Thump-thump, thump-thump. As our heart beats the blood that leaves it immediately begins to lose the nutrients and oxygen, and gradually turns blue as it becomes more filled with impurities and carbon dioxide. This deoxygenated blood needs one thing, a return trip to the heart which will pump it through the lungs. We can become like our blood, the further we move away from Christ, the more impure and blue we get. Worship can become cold and dead. The remedy, we need to encounter Jesus again, in a fresh, life-giving way. Malachi gives us a reminder that he is the pump that makes our lives work!
