Worship & Repentance

Dec 2, 2012 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Above All

Today we come to the end of the book of Malachi and the last words of the Old Testament. After Malachi puts his pen down, God will not speak to His people in this way again for 400 years. Speaking on behalf of God, Malachi challenged the religious people of Israel showing them that their cold-dead religious efforts have actually left them far from God. The call has been for them to return to God, not by doing their religion better, but by surrendering all of themselves to their God and seeing all of life as worship. Last week we asked a simple question, "Is it worth it?" The closing question Malachi will ask is, "Does it matter?". And what we will find is that religion without passion for Christ is unbelievably dangerous for children and grandchildren.
